Jeffrey Schwartzberg is co-founder and Managing Principal at Premier Commercial Real Estate, who brings a vast background and proven track record in commercial real estate spanning over two decades. Recognized by the Co-Star Group as one of Long Island’s “Power Brokers”, Mr. Schwartzberg leads Premier’s day-to-day operations and is directly involved in serving clients’ real estate needs.
Prior to starting Premier in 2013, Mr. Schwartzberg enjoyed nearly 15 years with Colliers International, LI Inc., ultimately rising to the position of Senior Executive Director, Industrial Properties-Long Island. Further, he has been instrumental having participated in industrial property sales and leases involving millions of square feet, representing owners, buyers and tenants.
Prior to joining Colliers, he spent a couple of years with First Industrial Realty Trust, as Senior Investment Officer for the Northeast U.S. Region. He is credited with spearheading the aggressive growth of the company’s Northeast Regional portfolio to triple its size from 2.5 million square feet to over 8 million square feet.
A well-respected and active member of the real estate industry, Mr. Schwartzberg has served as a past president and member of the Board of Directors of the Commercial Industrial Brokers Society (CIBS) and currently serves on the Advisory Committee to the board. He had also earned membership into the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), where is a former member in good standing. One of Mr. Schwartzberg’s additional noteworthy accomplishments is his having earned status as a certified NYS instructor of continuing education for real estate professionals.
Community-minded, he currently serves as Mayor of the Village of Roslyn Estates where he resides with his wife Rita, two sons and his dachshund, Puma. Before being elected Mayor in 2011, Mr. Schwartzberg served as the village’s Chairman of the Zoning Board for eight years. In addition, he is the immediate past president of the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island, a mentoring organization for Long Island’s youth, where he continues to serve as an active member of the board and a member of its’ Business Oversight Committee.
Mr. Schwartzberg holds a Bachelor of Arts from Queens College and a Masters of Business Administration in Financial Management from Iona College.
